Why we're doing this in public
Today the lights come on. FlameMallow has technically been live for about two weeks, but only as a quiet test — me alone at the kitchen table, sanity-checking the structure and getting a few first guides up. From now on, we're publishing the build week by week. Some weeks will look like a lot. Some will look like nothing. Both are honest.
What got built in the quiet two weeks: the story page, the first version of this homepage, the cozy CSS, and a small library of free AI guides for total beginners. The official Mochi mascot now has a model sheet — poses, expressions, and a few rules ("no flame on body" was non-negotiable, per my co-founder). The four original kitchen-table sketches that became Mochi are up on the story page. They're the proof that this is hers.

Next week we're shipping the first version of Mochi Diaries — the cozy printable journal she named "for your coziest secrets." It'll go up on Gumroad, linked from the shop page. I'm also drafting a Pinterest plan, because Pinterest is where a slow cozy brand like this can actually be discovered without burning out.
Current numbers, in the interest of being honest: 1 Pinterest follower (me), 0 sales, 18 free AI guides written (drafts being polished), 1 mailing list subscriber (also me). Truly the ground floor.
