Day 1 — We're actually telling people
Friday, May 29, 2026
The site has been quietly up for about two weeks. I used those weeks to build the bones — the homepage, a few SEO guides, the cozy palette, the first product board with Aliyah. Today is the first day I'm posting about FlameMallow in public.
If you're landing here from Pinterest: hi. Here's where we are.
What we shipped this week
- Pinterest carousel #1 (domains for $12) went live Wednesday morning.
- Three new carousels lined up — ChatGPT prompts, "stop doing," and an honest take on manifesting with AI.
- Aliyah named our first product: Mallow Diaries — a cozy journal for, in her words, "your coziest secrets."
- This page. The one you're reading.
What Aliyah said this week
I asked her if she wanted to name the weekly updates. She said: "Just call it building FlameMallow. People know what that means."
She's right. So that's what it's called.
What flopped
I tried to write a clever "Day 47 of 100" framing for the launch and Aliyah looked at me like I was insane. "You don't know if it's 100. What if it takes longer? What if it's shorter?" Killed the countdown. Now it's just Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 — honest numbers.
What's next
- Ship the first draft of Mallow Diaries as a free PDF (her call — she wants it to be a gift, not a paid product to start).
- Build the print-on-demand mascot drops (the dog, cat, kitten, and family prints she designed).
- Keep the Pinterest cadence: one cozy pin per day, one carousel every few days.
- Day 2 lands next Friday.
Follow along
Every Friday a new entry goes up here. The fastest way to catch each one is to follow the FlameMallow Pinterest or subscribe to the mailing list — one quiet email per week, no spam.
